From the beginning of time, Realtors have been taught to talk For Sale By Owner’s into using a Realtor as they have more tools to get the job done and the knowledge to get deals to the closing table. While there is alot of truth to this, there are Do-it-Yourselfers out there that have real estate knowledge, and grit, and will NEVER use a Realtor to sell their their home or pay full commission.
Real Estate MOO was created after Broker/Owner Joel Schmidt received an email one day from a potential seller looking for creative options to sell her home For Sale By Owner (FSBO) while still using the MLS as a marketing tool. Joel was already running a successful reduced commission Real Estate Brokerage so chatting about a creative solution to her needs was the easy part, putting in place- useful services with prices for her unique situation, was a whole different story…
That night, Joel woke up at 2am and it was as though a lightning bolt hit his brain stem. He spent 2 straight hours brain-dumping and writing down ideas and product solutions. What if we could create a Menu Of Options, basically an a-la-carte service assisting Do-it-Yourselfers by offering products that are useful rather than annoying and feeling like they are going to get nailed with calls from Realtors trying to list their home??
Then it was, the first letter of each word spells MOO. Hmmmm….
